Artria's creations are made from metals that are handforged into Sustainable Earthy Artisan Jewelry, Accessories, Bookmarks, and Suncatchers with an Indian flare. Founded in 2009 Artria Jewelry in now based out of Rochester, Minnesota. Inspired by elements of nature, each piece is handcrafted with care to create wearable art that is beautiful and timeless. I use several techniques in my work including wire wrapping, metalsmithing, etching, foldforming and electroforming allowing for a wide range of styles.
I primarily work with pure copper because in addition to being affordable, it compliments every skin tone, is malleable, can be colored with heat or a range of patinas, and looks great when it is textured, antiqued and polished. I also use metals like silver, brass, pewter, and bronze. Much of the copper used is up-cycled and all of my materials are cruelty-free. Working with bare wire and sheet metal gives me the creative license to combine techniques and materials to fabricate unique pieces.
Many people believe that copper has healing properties and that combined with crystals and stones worn close to the body provides healing energies.
Artria's collections range from simple jewelry to intricate patterns that revel in richness of detail and complexity of form, accented with beads, semi-precious gems, fabric, or other organic materials.
"Artria" - a play on the word 'art' and 'tri' like in the trinity - the power of three.

I love, live, and die for chicken bits in gravy. If Amrita stays holed up in her studio and doesn't give me chicken bits in gravy right after she feeds us dry kibble, I squeak like I'm dying till I'm fed. Then I go sleep by the window.
